Style Secrets: Q&A with Gab Waller

If you had to describe your personal style in three words, what would they be and why?

Chic and effortless. I feel my best when I’m dressed professionally and chic, but in an effortless way. Polished, but a little undone. My ‘why’ always comes down to how it makes me feel. What I wear for the day has the power to completely transform my day. 

Who are some of your biggest style inspirations?
 Hailey Bieber is a constant for inspiration, her style oozes everything that I love about getting dressed. I like how she merges both luxury new season with vintage. Another that I feel inspired by is Elsa Hosk. I have a lot of her Instagram outfits saved.

What do you think will be the standout trend this Autumn Winter? 

Brown suede will continue to trend heavily into Autumn Winter as being the go-to color, but there is a new color to know about and place on your radar. Mocha Mousse, the color to know now. It was deemed Pantone’s color of 2025, but we are going to see it heavily through the cooler months ahead. 

What are your must-have pieces this Autumn Winter?
 I love the rich color hues that come out at this time of the year - chocolate brown, deep burgundy, dark navy. I don’t gravitate towards these colors during the Summer, but for Autumn Winter, I want my entire wardrobe to be full of them. Deep burgundy is a must for your wardrobe for the season ahead, my recommendation would be in a heel (Saint Laurent will be your best option for this!). Other than these color hues, you can’t go wrong with investing in high-quality jackets that can be worn on heavy rotation over the coming months. Celine has some fantastic options for this.

What are your go-to fashion brands at Pacific Fair? 

Celine, Coach (Coach is back and having a moment in my sourcing requests, their handbags specifically), Gucci, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Polo Ralph Lauren (obsessed with their knits), Saint Laurent, and Tory Burch.

How did you first get involved in fashion, and what has been your most exciting moment in your career so far?

I dabbled in various internships when I knew that fashion was the industry I wanted to be in. This provided me with the opportunity to familiarise myself with various areas of the industry that I could dive into. Styling is what came most organically to me and is the area I decided to pursue. It wasn’t long before I felt a strong desire to create a unique path for myself, one that didn’t yet exist, and that became my lightbulb moment for fashion sourcing. I started my fashion sourcing company 6 years ago now, and have never looked back. My most exciting moment continues to be the special finds that I get to locate every single day. The thrill of the hunt will never get old. 

What's the most cherished item hanging in your wardrobe? 

My Céline coat that I am certain I will frame one day. It’s the coat I sourced for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Hailey Bieber that changed not only the course of my entire career, but life. It’s a very special piece that I will treasure forever.
